Photo Update: Warning! There are 119 photos...

Be patient. Pictures are big files. They can take a while to load. Enjoy. We did.

The pictures...aren't really in chronological order. Sometimes they are, but they don't start out that way. And the way this blogging service works--or doesn't work actually--has made it rather difficult to move things around. I've already copied and pasted and waited quite a while to upload things, so... I'm not moving anything else around tonight. It's almost not Day 8 anymore, even out here in on the West Coast, and I want to get some sleep. If you get too confused, just add a comment, and I'll try to help you out. :)

Trying to squish Lincoln's head.

Also trying to squish Lincoln.

The boxwork formation in Wind Cave.

Umm...snow...that is gonna be a problem...

Wait...I thought it was summer? There should be skiers on that hill.

See that? To the left? That's taller than our van.

Upper Falls in the "Grand Canyon" of Yellowstone National Park.

That was taken out of a the window of our moving van. I'm pretty proud of myself.

Okay, Badlands time. This is most of what we drove through...

..then, BAM! There's the cliff!

And stuff like this is at the bottom of some of the cliffs. CRAZY.

Our first wildlife encounter.

Our first up-close-and-personal encounter with buffalo.

Hello Mr. Presidents!

Baby moose! So cute!

I laughed. But then, what about the women who work down there?

Beautiful, random Wyoming countryside.

A LOT of this lake was FROZEN. WARNING.

Frozen.

Our first bear "encounter". It was a ways away, eating something...eep!

Our lovely, snow-filled campsite.

...this is gonna be fun...

One-minute set-up tent!

That is a TON of snow. And it was not fluffy.

Steamy, smelly geyser thing.

Steamy, muddy, bubbly pot thing.

Sometimes the geyser/mud pot areas took up a lot of space.

Sometimes they were in the sides of mountains or actually created the mountain. (This wasn't roaring that much...)

This was called "Sheepeater Cliff"... Interesting...

Bald eagle!

There were a lot of waterfalls around--all that snow "melting".

Mammoth Springs--apparently it was more smelly, bubbly, and colorful the last time we were here.

Hi Mr. Buffalo! (He said, "Buffalo don't need no underwear!" back...uh oh.)

Petrified tree. Picture is kind of bad because it was POURING.

This truck has spots like a cow. Hahahahahahaha! :)

That is a problem. It is June.

Graffiti in the snow.

Taller than Ashley. Problem.

More "graffiti".

I managed to get my head a bit over the bank. Only a bit tho, only at that part, still a problem.

Frozen boardwalk with sun coming slowly up.

It was ridiculously early, but it was ridiculously pretty too.

Steam from geysers...

Kind of a surreal morning.

Upper Falls.

Rainbow in falls sequence. 1.

Rainbow in falls sequence. 2.

Rainbow in falls sequence. 3.

More "Grand Canyon".

Stay on trail. Or else you two will disintegrate into...well...you see...Just kidding! That's not really a person! But I'd stay off, just in case...!

Sometimes the geysers are really clear and look inviting (don't be fooled! Remember the picture right above this one!).

Old Faithful from above.

There she blows!

Close enough encounter with a grizzly bear! EEEEPPPP!

Ha! A porcupine! Who knew they were here?! And could survive snow?!

First encounter with a horned elk (we're still looking for that horned moose for Dad).

Sometimes these things bubble up and create they're own little mountains.

Weeeirrrddd Craters of the Moon National Preserve

What? This is real? Yup...sure is.

Pretty flowers. I think Mom and Dad want some of these for our little hill thing at home.

It was really windy. I mean really, really windy...

So there was the mistletoe stuff that the Parks people removed because they thought it was killing the trees...and then the trees died. The mistletoe was actually keeping the trees alive. Ooopss....

One day, I'm gonna do what this rabbit did. Well, I probably won't hop through cement, but I will make my mark on some some day.

More weirdness.

The billy goats trying to cross the bridge!

The troll! That's a VW Bug under his left hand! And only one eye? Scarrryyy!

I conquered tho! Argh!

Ashley semi-conquered. :)

Drawbridge on the way to Google's Seattle offices.

!!!!!!

!!!!!!

They're "waiting" for the bus.

There is a child screaming in the eye of that tiger. I'm concerned. We did not go to that zoo.

Hahahaha! I don't know if it was really that super or not...

The Space Needle.

Hello Seattle!

The troll and billy goats live under that bridge there.

In Seattle, they land their airplanes on the water.

There's our sailboat!

The bit about the troll from the multimedia map thing in the Space Needle.

I wanted to play there. It was part of the Children's Museum.

There we are!!!!!

So excited! Look at that line tho! Crazy.

To the right are the ordering places. To the left is the line to wait for your ordered drink. We're near the back. Can you find us?

Cute piggy banks.

Some of the seafood markets.

Nutella-strawberry crepe.

Vegetarian crepe. Yuuuummmmyyyy!

The port. Containers and giant lift things that look like giraffes in this picture.

The city.

Lighthouse #1.

Path to Lighthouse #2.

Lighthouse #2.

More pretty flowers. I think these are daisies?

Lighthouse #2.

Puget Sound with Mt. Rainier in the background.

So you're all caught up now. I know. That was a marathon. I'll try to bring the words and the pictures back together. I know all you really care about is the pictures...
